The Life of Photography Cameras have come a long way since it was first invented in 1816 by  Nicéphore Niépce. Since then cameras have been used to record the change of life, sightseeing and important events. For example, people used it to show what other countries were going through. Like tornadoes, aftermath of earthquakes, war and such.   The first photo of space was recorded by the V-2 #13 rocket which was launched on October 24th of 1946. Here was a photo of the Cape Canaveral lau nch in July of 1950. Other photographers were there to also capture the moment. This photo was taken by A.A Abrams recording a tornado near Kansas, Anderson County in 1884. This was the first photo of lightning ever taken. The photo was taken by William Jennings in 1882 which is pretty amazing how he was able to catch the photo just as it struck. .
