The Life of Photography

Cameras have come a long way since it was first invented in 1816 by Nicéphore Niépce.

Since then cameras have been used to record the change of life, sightseeing and important events. For example, people used it to show what other countries were going through. Like tornadoes, aftermath of earthquakes, war and such.




  The first photo of space was recorded by the V-2 #13 rocket which was launched on October 24th of 1946.






Here was a photo of the Cape Canaveral launch in July of 1950. Other photographers were there to also capture the moment.












This photo was taken by A.A Abrams recording a tornado near Kansas, Anderson County in 1884.







This was the first photo of lightning ever taken. The photo was taken by William Jennings in 1882 which is pretty amazing how he was able to catch the photo just as it struck.

This was the first color photo which was taken by Physicist James Clerk Maxwell. This is considered the first durable color photograph and was envied by Maxwell at a lecture in 1861.  The inventor of the SLR, Thomas Sutton, was the man who pressed the shutter button, but Maxwell is credited with the scientific process that made it possible

The first colored landscape to showcase the world in color was taken in 1887. The Photographer was known, Louis Arthur Ducos du Hauron










John Quincy Adams, the sixth President of the United States, was the first president to have his photo taken












 The first photograph made in a camera was taken in 1826 by Joseph Nicéphore Niépce.This image was captured via a process known as heliography, which used Bitumen of Judea coated onto a piece of glass or metal
